I never really cared for the Yupo watercolor paper. But I have discovered that
Yupo paper and alcohol inks are the perfect match. I love the clear bright
colors that the inks give me. And the fact that you can't really control the
inks, only manipulate their movement, make it so fun to meet that challenge with
each new painting.
These are going like hotcakes and getting so much interest, that I have a class filled already
to try this medium. I know everyone is going to love the challenge.
The alcohol inks also work beautifully with ceramic tiles.. They can be sealed with a varnish or covered in resin. They make nice easel displayed works or sets of coasters. These are some of my 4x4 tiles
.
