Using a limited palette of colors can be challenging and enlightening. I have been lured to purchase every new color of paint on the market only to find later that the special new Caribbean Blue color is just another name for Phthalo-Blue plus Titanium white. So lately I have been curbing my appetite for new colors and practicing with only three-yellow ocher, iron oxide red, cobalt blue, and white.
