This was a painting done en plein aire last Spring at the Arboreteum in Dallas, Texas. These are native yellow roses climbing over the wrought iron grille covering one of the windows of the former mansion of DeGolyer, a petroleum geologist, who helped frame the history of oil in the state of Texas. This variety of roses existed in our state before the first settlers arrived. Contact me for further information.
