Fly Away Dragon Fly by Kay Wyne

Fly Away Dragon Fly
48" x 48"
Oil on Gallery Wrap Canvas
This painting has gone through many changes....it is a very large canvas....four feet by four feet. It takes alot of paint to cover it. At one point (several months ago) I thought it was finshed, and was ready to hang. After viewing it for months, I decided that it wasn't finished, and added the dragon fly just this week. There are layers of color, layers of lines, and layers of shapes in this painting. I used a palette knife, wide brush strokes and a oil pastel stick. Thanks for viewing this blog!!! If you are interested in this painting, please contact me. It is going to be entered in a art exhibit this next month. Kay at 214-532-0325 or kay@kwyne.com

The Old Mill Study, Barbara Haviland

#mill,#water,#building,#11x14,#BarbaraHavilandFineArt.com This painting was part of a study.  We had the photo and I painted it then watched the demo. I always do that.  I like to change my painting up a bit. It is painted on a hardboard panel that has canvas adhered to it.  I have used this method for years. I don't care for the spring of a stretched canvas.  Thanks for viewing my art ~~Barbara Available  GALLERY INFO Barbara Haviland Fine Art 1579 County Road 1010 Woodville, Texas 75979 409-332-0141 Website
