This painting is probably going to be at the Arboretum Garden Gallery. It was my second koi painting, and I was very nervous about the green. Since I tend to "over-paint" on green, I was very careful not to get green paint on the fish. The water at the Koi Pond in the Arboretum was very green, even though my eye wanted to paint blue. I like to change my painting up a bit. It is painted on a hardboard panel that has canvas adhered to it. I have used this method for years. I don't care for the spring of a stretched canvas.
