Kristine Kainer: Empty Clamshells


Oil on canvas mounted to panel, 6x6--SOLD
These succulent little morsels beckoned me to the seafood counter where they had JUST ARRIVED. I promptly rescued them from their bed of ice, whisked them home, then put them in a Calphalon sauna. Needless to say, I did the painting AFTER lunch.
