Your magnolias are beautiful! It's lovely how you conveyed their delicacy and strength at the same time. I lived in New Orleans during college and the flower has a special place in my heart. :)

The Old Mill Study, Barbara Haviland

I always do that.  I like to change my painting up a bit. It is painted on a hardboard panel that has canvas adhered to it.  I have used this method for years.
