One of my Austin series, this is South Congress with the State Capitol in the background. South Congress is a colorful street full of iconic Austin images, including Cupcake and a lot of other eateries on wheels. In Houston we call them roach coaches but they are much elevated in Austin.

I like to change my painting up a bit. It is painted on a hardboard panel that has canvas adhered to it. I have used this method for years. I don't care for the spring of a stretched canvas.
