Iao Stream

The Iao (pronounced 'ee-ow')Valley is the most heavenly place I used to frequent when I lived on Maui for 12 years.

I would sit and just watch the water, fascinated by the way it tumbled between the rocks.

This is a pastel of a part of the Iao river.

The Old Mill Study, Barbara Haviland

I always do that.  I like to change my painting up a bit. It is painted on a hardboard panel that has canvas adhered to it.  I have used this method for years.
