After living all my life in the Southwest I have seen
many a dry creek bed. This one day I found one
West of Frederiksburg with just a little trickle of water left in it
after some earlier rains. It was a beautiful contrast
I wanted to capture.

The Old Mill Study, Barbara Haviland

I always do that.  I like to change my painting up a bit. It is painted on a hardboard panel that has canvas adhered to it.  I have used this method for years.
