Touch of Summer Sunflower by Nancy Medina

Touch of Summer Sunflower

Touch of Summer Sunflower, my newest painting, seems like just what the doctor ordered today, as another cold front is headed to North Texas. Any time the temperatures dip below 60s, the studio assistants plant their round selves in front of the heaters and only stray from them if food or cooking activities commence. Someday I hope to live just as they do, a life of extreme comfort! For now, I must toil away, in order to keep them in the manner to which they are accustomed. It is my honor and my privilege, I am so darn lucky to have them. Take a peek at my art blog to see one of my assistants demonstrating his favorite passtime!

The Old Mill Study, Barbara Haviland

#mill,#water,#building,#11x14,#BarbaraHavilandFineArt.com This painting was part of a study.  We had the photo and I painted it then watched the demo. I always do that.  I like to change my painting up a bit. It is painted on a hardboard panel that has canvas adhered to it.  I have used this method for years. I don't care for the spring of a stretched canvas.  Thanks for viewing my art ~~Barbara Available  GALLERY INFO Barbara Haviland Fine Art 1579 County Road 1010 Woodville, Texas 75979 409-332-0141 Website
