Study for landscape

This is a study for an upcoming landscape.
6x8" oil on archival panel
I'm planning a landscape that will be 18x24" and these two ladies will be the focal point of that work. I intend for the landscape to be the first in a series of works that have been inspired by the 1979 movie "Tess", which had some really compelling scenery in it.

The Old Mill Study, Barbara Haviland

I always do that.  I like to change my painting up a bit. It is painted on a hardboard panel that has canvas adhered to it.  I have used this method for years.
