Purple Iris
Hello folks. I have been off the blogging and face book
posting for a while due to unforeseen circumstances.
Now that I’m back, I
would like for you to view a small painting I’ve done recently.
This painting is a watercolor, size 7x5. The purple bearded iris is one of many type
flowers I grow in my yard. One beautiful
characteristic of the bearded iris are the thin velvety petals. When the iris is back lit, the petals are
almost transparent. These irises have a
licorice aroma. Not only eye candy for
an artist, but smells like candy too.

this small 7x5 watercolor for $75.00. It
is painted on 300 lb. paper.
