Winter is sneaking up on us, but it you want a permanent reminder of warmer weather, these cactus flowers on your wall will warm you right up.


Prickly Pear grows wild in my yard alongside yucca and lace cacti. The blooms are always a treat. This painting draws from 3 different photos I took of the blooms and rearranged into a more pleasing design.

The Old Mill Study, Barbara Haviland

I always do that.  I like to change my painting up a bit. It is painted on a hardboard panel that has canvas adhered to it.  I have used this method for years.
