WOLF by Carol Peterson

WOLF
by Carol Peterson (carolpeterson@suddenlink.net)
7" x 5"
acrylic
$90 framed

This painting was done on a mat board painted with pyrrole orange. I love the way the orange glows through any paintings on it. In this case I left the whole background orange. We vacation in Northern Minnesota each summer and see wolves at the side of the road occasionally. This part of the country has never been without wolves. You can hear them howl at night.

Like your wolf Carol, don't like to hear them howl though. I am going to have to try the painted background technique, really like the way the orange warms everything up.

The Old Mill Study, Barbara Haviland

#mill,#water,#building,#11x14,#BarbaraHavilandFineArt.com This painting was part of a study.  We had the photo and I painted it then watched the demo. I always do that.  I like to change my painting up a bit. It is painted on a hardboard panel that has canvas adhered to it.  I have used this method for years. I don't care for the spring of a stretched canvas.  Thanks for viewing my art ~~Barbara Available  GALLERY INFO Barbara Haviland Fine Art 1579 County Road 1010 Woodville, Texas 75979 409-332-0141 Website
