"Mountain Stream," featured in previous blogs, was chosen for the Stars of Texas Juried Art Exhibit in November, 2011 and is one of my favorites. This painting brings back wonderfull memories of the unparalleled magnificence of the Colorado Rocky Mountains with colors so clear and bright they look almost artificial. Since I shot this scene while riding the Durango-Silverton train, I had to try to capture its beauty from a photo when I returned home. You may purchase this painting on my website by clicking here.

The Old Mill Study, Barbara Haviland

I always do that.  I like to change my painting up a bit. It is painted on a hardboard panel that has canvas adhered to it.  I have used this method for years.
