I decided to rework yesterday's sketch with more contrast and a little color to better define the calf's face and give this calf a sense of place. So here you have the calf still calling mama.

The Old Mill Study, Barbara Haviland

I always do that.  I like to change my painting up a bit. It is painted on a hardboard panel that has canvas adhered to it.  I have used this method for years.
