This was inspired from a trip to the Texas Hill Country. I painted a smaller study recently and liked it well enough to try it in a larger format. This was painted with a palette knife and lots of colorful paint.

The Old Mill Study, Barbara Haviland

I always do that.  I like to change my painting up a bit. It is painted on a hardboard panel that has canvas adhered to it.  I have used this method for years.
