FINDING BEAUTY WHERE YOU LIVE

Another in a series from subjects I find on my hill in the Texas hill country. Playing with these colors was like finding a guitar scale that works nicely over a basic chord pattern.   It's a sad fact, but often the case, that what we see every day tends to become commonplace and uninspiring.  That leads to thinking that worthy subjects reside somewhere else than wherever we happen to be.  For an outdoor painter, it's good to keep in mind that if there's light falling on a group of shapes there's probably something fun there to paint.
