Sometimes it is just the Simple Things of Life that bring joy.  To wander out to the yard and see beautiful roses blooming on the bush can bring a smile to my face.  The opportunity to bring them into to the studio and paint these little beauties lifts the spirits.

The Old Mill Study, Barbara Haviland

I always do that.  I like to change my painting up a bit. It is painted on a hardboard panel that has canvas adhered to it.  I have used this method for years.
