"Falling Water III" Palette Knife Painting of Iceland by Niki Gulley

"Falling Water III" ©2021 Niki Gulley
12" x 9” textured oil painting

Iceland is pretty much  dotted with waterfalls, so I was in heaven! We had heard about this one that was back beyond our hotel, so we set off on an adventure. Our journey started by climbing up a platform to get over a fence and then it was a hike along the river to get to the falls. It turned out to be a beautiful setting, other than the midges that would swarm when the sun came out, making it an otherwise perfect afternoon!

The Old Mill Study, Barbara Haviland

#mill,#water,#building,#11x14,#BarbaraHavilandFineArt.com This painting was part of a study.  We had the photo and I painted it then watched the demo. I always do that.  I like to change my painting up a bit. It is painted on a hardboard panel that has canvas adhered to it.  I have used this method for years. I don't care for the spring of a stretched canvas.  Thanks for viewing my art ~~Barbara Available  GALLERY INFO Barbara Haviland Fine Art 1579 County Road 1010 Woodville, Texas 75979 409-332-0141 Website
