The Road to Church 9x12 oil on raymar canvas I created this in the studio and was inspired from photos I took while painting on the grounds of Lakeside Baptist Church in Granbury.  It is filled with beautiful fall color right now and a joy to paint at. PAINTED FOR MYSELF FOR CHRISTMAS Every now and then we have to stop and paint something just for our home.  I wanted something for my mantel that no one else would have.  This year I am doing most of my decorations in Gold, Silver and Copper.  The canvas was first gessoed Gold then painted a burnt sienna copper color, after getting all prepped the flower was painted a lime green base with variations of color.  Now I have something no one else could buy at the store.  YIPPIE Signature Member of Artist of Texas, Oil Painters of America, Outdoor Painters Society

  "Small Owl" by Carol Peterson ( carolmpeterson1@gmail.com ) 10" x 10" watercolor $100   This painting was done in a workshop with Jean Haines, an English watercolorist.  She had us work in a very light wet on wet style.  I took the photo of this owl during a talk by a wildlife rehab lecturer.  She brought about ten different birds to show us, mostly owls.  I took a number of very good photo references.

This is my favorite time of year, and our first year to have little Hannah the Rescue Pug as an official part of our family. "Spirit of The Season" by Kyle Wood Green Ornament 5" x 7"  Oil on Canvas Paper Last year, I worked up a series of hand painted Christmas Greeting Cards before and during the holiday season.  I had so much fun doing these last year, that I have decided do more of them this year.  "Spirit of The Season" has turned into a series of paintings of ornaments in different colors.
