"Rasta Man" by Carol Peterson ( carolpeterson@suddenlink.net ) 15 x 11 inch mixed media $350 framed I took a photo of this character while on a bus in Jamaica. He walked by the window in a very crowded market. The image had many reflections in it and that gave me the idea of painting him on a paper with gesso, stamping, collage, etc. The collaged paper added a nice texture in his hat and beard. The gesso allowed me to lift color and redo the image until I liked it. This painting won an Honorable Mention in the West Texas Watercolor Spring Show.
