Artists Of Texas Contemporary Paintings and Art

© AnnHoffpauir This majestic Live Oak is in Louisiana.  This tree must have lived through some amazing times.  I know for a fact that it survived Hurricane Ike in 2008.  The water under this tree was around ten feet deep at the time of that devastating storm.  I wonder what else it has lived through? http://www.ArtworkbyAnn.com

Thank you for looking. I just finished this painting last night.  This one is done in water miscible oils on canvas. To see more of my art:  www.melissaatorresart.com . Follow me on Facebook:  www.facebook.com/MelissaA.TorresArt

16"x20"   This is an abstract portrait of a Live Oak tree that I come across every morning during my trips to Memorial Park.It has such a symbolic meaning because if you lived in Houston during 2011 so mant trees were cut down because of the drought. This was a tough survivor and I stare at it in amazement.   This is painted on a linen canvas and you can purchase it here and visit my gallery   artabstractz.com   Also please e-mail if you have any questions   tim.lincoln@aol.com

8x10, Oil on Canvas I had a chance during our vacation to Florida to plein air.  They have some of the most beautiful Live Oaks with the hanging moss.
