Orange Angel Fish

© AnnHoffpauir An Orange Angel Fish is the third in a series of paintings of salt water fish. These paintings are very exciting to paint because of letting the paint follow the wet misted paper. I used negative painting in the coral again as in the last two Angel fish. Enjoy. Visit me at http://WWW.ArtworkbyAnn.com

Blue Angel Fish

© AnnHoffpauir This Blue Angel Fish was painted for a friend that wanted something that would fit in her beach house. Salt water fish would fit that description. Angel Fish are very pretty and colorful. This painting is done in watercolor with a lot of negative painting to create the coral. I will be posting more soon. Swamp, Early Morn by Ann Hoffpauir

Swamp, Early Morn          In this painting I used the three primary colors only and let them mix on the paper.   After it dried mostly, I used negative painting is some areas.   To keep the colors fresh, I slightly enhanced the colors.    Looks like the sun could be peeking through the trees.   This painting is a watercolor on 140lb. paper, size  6 x 4 1/2.    The price is $75.00.                                   ...

Barbara's Gift

This is a miniature pitcher and bowl set from a dear friend. It's of an off white color and I tried to depict that. I have painted several white objects. None of which are truly white when surrounded by other objects. It's a great color to try and capture because of all of the other colors white absorbs. This still life oil is painted on gessoed paper board and a size 5x7. The price is $75.00. http://www.ArtworkbyAnn.com

This painting was done over the weekend. I had gone to a cattle roundup and took tons of photos. It was late spring/early summer, felt mostly like summer. There were cowboys and cowgirls, yep, cowgirls too. It was time to inoculate them and put an insecticidal oil on them. While the cattle were being given their shots these two bulls are off in the background horsing around or I should say, being bullish. I had gotten some interesting shots of these two bulls. They were completely oblivious to all that was going on with the other cattle. That's probably a good thing. Those two fellas are huge. Just goes to show, boys will be boys, not matter what form of life.
