Swaying in the Breeze, by Melissa A. Torres, 4x4 oil on canvas

Swaying in the Breeze This is painted from a photograph I took while in Galveston in September. I purchased a frame for it that is repurposed wood from an old Galveston built circa the early 1900's. I can't wait to see this in it. For prints and other merchandise visit  FineArtAmerica . Follow me on  Facebook . Follow me on  Instagram . New "Come Fly with Me" Palette Knife Painting by Niki Gulley

"Come Fly with Me" ©2018 Niki Gulley SOLD  • 12" x 16" textured oil painting Just Sold!  Painted on location, I wanted this piece to be very inviting and relaxing.  The tide laps against the shore so that you can hear the rhythmic, soothing music of the waves cresting and falling. Sunlight rakes across the wooden porch while you gently rock, enjoying the sounds and the view. Whenever I visit the seashore I always feel rejuvenated, and I hope I’ve translated that onto the canvas for you to experience it, too. E-mail  Niki Gulley  for more information. Colors of Seabrook by Kay Wyne

Colors of Seabrook 6" x 6" Oil on RayMar Cotton Panel Contemporary Landscape/Palette Knife Painting I am working on some seascape/beach/boating paintings in the studio, and with the cold winter weather, I am wishing I was at Seabrook Island---sitting on the beach.  This small plein air painting was all about getting the colors of the beach day.  Part of painting is getting the feeling or the mood of the day on the canvas.  It was a clear, warm day at the beach, and I can remember it well, especially on this cold January day.  I have several beach scenes that are available for purchase.  Contact  ME  for more info.  Thanks, KMW

Making Waves by Kristine Kainer

Oil 18x24 Purchase Information Here We've all seen them:  paintings that look like they were made by a gorilla that sell for record amounts of money in the art world.  After a particularly frustrating day (and seeing some of those astronomical purchase prices via a fellow artist's Facebook post), I temporarily regressed back to the simpler days of childhood.  Using leftover paint on my palette and my trusty middle finger (the left one), I created this seascape fingerpainting.  Enjoy. www.kristinekainer.com www.kristinekainer.blogspot.com

Beach Cottage

15x11 watercolor done as my daily work today.  This is a beach house in Florida where I was to stay this week and didn't get to go no thanks to SW Airlines mechanical problems Sunday.  So next best thing is to paint the location you want to be; this is done wet in wet. Beach Bums by Kay Wyne

Beach Bums...A commission that has been delivered. It is an oil painting on a 12" x 12" gallery wrap canvas. This painting was inspired by a photograph of the ocean while a couple was sitting on the beach. I loved this picture, and when the couple got engaged, sweet Sarah asked me to paint it so she could give to Taylor as a wedding gift. So, here it is, and Taylor and Sarah are married, moved in a new apartment on the east coast and starting a new life together. Congratulations to Sarah and Taylor! Kay

Fifteen Minute Flip Flops by Kay Wyne

Quick Fifteen Minute Painting Beachy Flip Flops I have been finishing up two commission pieces at the studio, and had some paint leftover on my palette...I needed to paint something loose and colorful. So here you go...Beachy Flip Flops...this oil is on a 12" x 12" gessoed masonite. I used a wide flat brush and cut loose with the colors. No detail on this one. When you are working on a piece that requires FC (the dreaded Forced Creativity) it helps to jump on a canvas that you don't have to think about, stew about, or push yourself into FC. I will not post three of my commissions until after Christmas since they are gifts for some. Thanks for viewing this blog...Kay kay@kwyne.com or 214-532-0325

Turquoise Waters Oil Painting by Niki Gulley

5" x 7" oil painting by Niki Gulley This painting is inspired from our trip to the gorgeous beaches in Thailand. The water was such a clear turquoise and the rock formations, known as karst, were fascinating rising out of the ocean.
