"Memories of Sunshine II" ©2021 Niki Gulley 30" x 40" textured painting on wrap around canvas "Memories of Sunshine" was inspired by our trip to Provence, France. Our timing was perfect and the sunflowers were in full bloom. Their bright, smiling faces as big as dinner plates, the sun dappled path leading you deep into the golden field to the quaint stone farmhouse in the distance, and a beautiful summer day with a few peaceful clouds drifting by made for the ideal subject. The resulting painting is full of warmth, color and texture, and my hope is that when you gaze into it, this piece lifts your spirits and brightens up any spot in your home. *** "Memories of Sunshine II" is available through the Good Art Company Gallery in Fredericksburg, TX. ••• For more details on my textured floral paintings, please e-mail  Niki Gulley. Sunflower Sunset by Nancy Medina 20X16 Oil on Archival Panel Check out My New Video Here! Flower Painting Workshops My Web Site Follow Me on Facebook Sign Up for My Art Newsletter! Sunflower Sunset was one of my six classroom demonstrations in Fort Lauderdale, Florida this weekend. Tomorrow morning we leave the classroom behind for a day of plein air painting. My hosts found a charming cottage with a bougainvillea garden, so we shall be out bright and early to paint. I specialize in a "kinder, gentler" plein air, and have a few ladies who will have tables and chairs for their outdoor painting experience, with an ocean breeze and a palm tree swaying nearby. The owner of the garden was so kind, he stopped by my class today with his chocolate lab to make sure we were coming over tomorrow to paint his garden. He was super excited, as he is also an artist! I love these little simpatico ...

Earth Child Sunflowers by Nancy Medina Class Demonstration 16X12 Oil on Archival Panel Purchase Information Flower Painting Workshops My Web Site Follow Me on Facebook Sign Up for My Art Newsletter! Earth Child Sunflowers was one of my class demonstrations in North Texas recently, created quickly with my 3/4 inch flat $1.50 brush, the one brush I use for almost every painting in Flower Mound Studio. How I love these brushes! I received a note this morning from a collector who lives in a village near Leeds, in the United Kingdom, just north of London. She was kind enough to share a picture of her region when I asked (I am ALWAYS wanting pictures of the English countryside!) and the breathtaking skyline of Whitby, quaint orange buildings along a riverfront with the ruins of a gothic abbey along a clifftop in the distance, once featured in Bram Stoker's Dracula! Flame and Shadow Sunflowers by Nancy Medina 18X18 Oil on Gallery Wrap Canvas Purchase Information Flower Painting Workshops Nancy Medina Web Site Follow Me on Facebook Sign Up for my Art Newsletter I wanted to go big, bold and bright with Flame and Shadow, so piled under layers and layers of color, ending with thick, fast, large strokes of hot color. It's a toasty day in Texas this week, and my helpers are lounging indoors under the AC, snoring on their super cushy orthopedic beds, awaiting second or third snack time. It's important they receive multiple snacks to help them survive the interminable few hours between their three meals a day.... With the exception perhaps of never getting to taste chocolate pie, it might be really nice to be a Pug.   Detail from Flame and Shadow
