Artists Of Texas Contemporary Paintings and Art

I just finished this one today.. loving these Crescent Watercolor Boards. I stumbled on them a couple of weeks ago and have not looked back since.  The surface is Cold Pressed, and the panel is a rigid support.. so when framing it, one coul even omit having to use foam core onto which to mount the painting. They come in quite a few sizes too which I like.  Captured Glory is available .. $450 plus S/H 15” x 20” Prints of this image are available through Fine Art America. https://fineartamerica.com/featured/captured-glory-rae-andrews.html?newartwork=true Thanks for visiting.. A few years ago I was in Alaska, wow! What gorgeous scenery. It's taken me a while to even paint something from that area, it's all just gorgeous. Today I thought I would leave the houses alone from previous images, and just do a landscape. Even the colors are very much softer for me. However, the scene was a mid morning light, and shadows were a lot more seductive.                                    This image is an acrylic on textured board (unframed),                                                                                                     $120 inc. Three's a Crowd! An original oil painting on a large 24"x 36" stretched canvas, ready to frame and hang in your favorite spot! The colors are brilliant, and help show the fine details of the Macaws and their gorgeous plumage. The "courting" pair seem to be saying," Ah, can't you see we are already an item!" Did you know that Macaws mate for life, and have lived as a couple for up to 50 years!  For more information on this painting, prices, and to view other paintings by Sandra Reeves Cutrer, please visit : srcartavenue.blogspot.com, or contact her at : sandrasart777@aol.com .  Thanks for looking!

Crown of Courage- a lion painting by wildlife artist, Sandra Reeves Cutrer. A big boy, painted on a big  (24" x 30" x 1.5") gallery wrapped canvas -all sides painted. According to several research sites, the lion’s mane has often been thought of as extra protection from the neck being attacked by other males, although it seems lions mostly attack each other on the back and hips. Most studies lean toward the size and coloration of the mane serves as a signal to other lions about the male’s fitness, similar to the showiness of the peacock’s tail. And, it seems the females prefer males with darker, thick manes, as they project a bigger and healthier male to mate with. Thanks for looking at my blog.
