MOM'S FLOWER GARDEN BY ARTIST PAT MEYER

12 X 16 OIL ON LINEN CONTACT ARTIST TO PURCHASE PAT@MEYER.NET Three years ago my Mom gave me some Peonies roots to plant in  the yard and this year the bushes bloomed.  My sweet hubby planted for Mother's Day last year the yellow roses next to my Mom's Peonies.  Now here it is right before Mother's Day this year and their gift kept on giving.  Beautiful blooms that ended up in the studio being models.  Since these were Mom's Peonies and my Mother's Day gift of yellow roses I call this painting Mom's Flower Garden. WILD NEW YEARS ROSE BY ARTIST PAT MEYER

7 X 5 OIL ON LINEN PAT@MEYER.NET  $95 This crazy rose just looks like she partied all night on New Years Eve and now became today's model in the studio.  She is surrounded by her friends that are just a little more tame.  Sound like anyone you know?   Girls just want to have some fun.  Maybe that is your Resolution for 2014.  Mine is to paint things beautifully. It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...by Pamela Blaies

He Knows My Favorite Color oil on linen SOLD OK - so the weather here in Texas isn't snowy, yet. But while shopping over the weekend, it was nice to hear Christmas music piping through the speakers, then more Christmas music in the car on the way home. I am excited that the Christmas season is upon us. I am also very happy to share that the painting "He Knows My Favorite Color" found a new home this past weekend! I love to share my art and inspiration. Click  HERE  to sign up for my email newsletter and receive a free gift of postcards. Follow me on Facebook.

He Knows My Favorite Color by Pamela Blaies

He Knows My Favorite Color 9" x 12" oil on linen These yellow roses were part of a gorgeous bouquet my husband gave me on our anniversary this past Friday. They are the prettiest butter yellow. Setting up this composition, I put the light source pretty close and they became dazzlingly brilliant to my eyes. The color seemed to radiate from within, out into the very air around them. I think it gives them a kind of dreamy effect - very romantic. My sweetheart knows I am nuts about flowers, especially roses. He also knows my favorite color of rose -- it changes depending on the one I'm looking at that moment! I love to share my art and inspiration. "DeGolyer's View"

11 x 14 Oil..Framed. http://www.vonniekohn.com/ http://vonniekohn-artist.blogspot.com/ This was a painting done en plein aire last Spring at the Arboreteum in Dallas, Texas. These are native yellow roses climbing over the wrought iron grille covering one of the windows of the former mansion of DeGolyer, a petroleum geologist, who helped frame the history of oil in the state of Texas. This variety of roses existed in our state before the first settlers arrived. Contact me for further information.
