Paluxy in Paradise by Sheri Jones 12x9 oil on linen panel I was blessed to spend the day with friends on the Paluxy River recently. The day started off cold so we bundled up. By the time we made it to the river we were peeling off the layers.  It was a great day painting with friends away from the hustle and bustle of the season.   To purchase or see more http://www.sherijonesart.com Sheri@sherijonesart.com http://www.sheriart.blogspot.com. Sage Bush Glow by Sheri Jones 16x20 oil on canvas I painted a small study of this scene recently. It helps to work out the color and design, before going large. I just loved the glow of the sage bush as the sun was setting.  The hillside was filled with the sage bush and nice distant views.  To purchase or see more http://www.sherijonesart.com Sheri@sherijonesart.com http://www.sheriart.blogspot.com. Sweeping Mountain Views by Sheri Jones 14x7 oil on canvas Getting lost on the back roads of Pagosa Springs we saw sweeping views of the mountains and warm fall colors. We stopped many times to photograph the beautiful landscape. It was a fun exercise to use those photos once I returned home. Using the palette knife, I built layers of shapes and colors.  To purchase or see more http://www.sherijonesart.com Sheri@sherijonesart.com http://www.sheriart.blogspot.com.
