"Capturing the Sun III" ©2021 Niki Gulley SOLD •  16" x 20" textured oil painting on 3/4" wrap around canvas  with the painting continuing around the edges Just Sold!   This sunflower field that I visited in the middle of the pandemic was GORGEOUS. It felt like it stretched for miles. Bright, happy faces sharing their smiles with us and lifting our spirits. My heart literally swelled and I had to capture all of that joy on canvas.  Utilizing vivid, uplifting hues, thick paint and bold, loose strokes add to the happy, carefree feeling of the moment and I hope you are transported there with me. ••• E-mail  Niki Gulley  for more information on my sunflower and wildflower fields paintings. At the same time, the clouds above were so voluminous and dramatic that I had to recreate the scene. The horizon stretches out before us as festive blossoms dance in the early evening glow. Leaving my strokes loose and free and working with palette knife to create volume and texture, all add to the energy of the painting. I hope you, too, can feel the peace and happiness of being surrounded by nature in all of its glory, staring into the clouds while soaking in the moment. For more details on Sunny Horizon,  please contact my gallery, the Good Art Company, in Fredericksburg, TX at  goodartcompany.com/gacart/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=25&sort=20a&page=1&z . *** For more information on textured sunflower a...
