Winter Cardinal By Emily Leland Throughout the year I seem to have about 6-7 pair of Cardinals grazing and chattering in my back yard. Some mornings one of them will be insistent and almost knock at my window telling me to come out and feed them. For many years I have been feeding them in the steel St. Francis bird feeders that I design and fabricate. These are beautiful loyal birds to each other chattering across the way and down the creek. Enjoy. 8x10 gallery wrap see also on my website at www.emilyleland.com

Golden Moments by Emily Leland I grew up in New Mexico with wide open spaces always surrounding me that seem to continually draw me to paint spaces and the depth of it. Looking onto the hillsides surrounding Fredericksburg today I am captured by the beauty in these moments looking outward. On this particular occasion, an afternoon sunset without the reds and oranges but just a brilliant gold. Sometimes you can rush out there to paint a sunset hoping for burst of color and it happens in a different way. But isn't that life. Oil on Wrapped canvas 24"X48" See http://www.emilyleland.com
