Flower Study I 8x10 Oil on Canvas Sold I have always loved flowers, but was afraid to paint them.  On day I got brave and this was the result. I was pleased, and now I love to paint them.  Painting can be intimidating at times, but as the phrase goes, "Nothing ventured Nothing gained".  What is your favorite flower?  Let me paint it for you. "Al" 5x7 inch on Kitty Wallace paper This painting was a commission and is sold. I love to do portraits, although it can be a challenge at times.  Al's painting was the first miniature, and the first horn for me.  My biggest challenge to overcome were the reflections coming from the horn.  My client's husband, Al,  was almost in tears as he opened his birthday gift.  She said, he was very pleased as no one had ever painted his portrait before. I am back in the studio at work.  As I began this painting, I painted in the words of favorite Bible verses and the Lord's Prayer. It is always inspiring to me to know what verses people are 'attached' to in their lives.  This would be their inspiration verses, or confirmation verses, or something they cling to  in all time.
