Artists Of Texas Contemporary Paintings and Art

Color My World 14" x 10" Oil on Canvas Panel Contemporary Floral Landscape Painted with vibrant oils, this contemporary landscape painting is on display and for sale at  Dutch Art Gallery in Dallas, Texas .  I mixed and mixed the oils for this piece...using my trusty palette knife to mix and to apply the layers of paint.  Thanks for looking at this blog...have an artful day.   Kay

Enchanting 36" x 36" Oil on Gallery Wrap Canvas Contemporary Wildflower Landscape Painting Today is the first day of the 30 Paintings in 30 Days Challenge....and yes, I am participating again!  I enjoy a challenge and since I am working on a landscape series, my theme is Wildflower Landscapes.  Be sure to check out all of the work  Leslie Saeta's 30 Paintings in 30 Days Paint Challenge .  This painting, Enchanting is now finished.  I reworked the clouds and flowers in the back ground.  I softened the sky with more paint and a large dry brush.  The flowers in the foreground are painted with thick, palette knife strokes...lots of texture.  Contact  Kay  for more information on this painting.  It is drying in the studio.  Thanks, Kay

Wandering Through 48" x 60" Oil on Gallery Wrap Canvas Contemporary Palette Knife Painting This painting is drying at the studio...a contemporary floral landscape bursting with color and texture.  I have been working on this canvas for days...with layers and layers of paint.  The scene is a wide view of wildflowers wandering through the landscape.  The sky is heavy with paint and texture.  Because this painting is on thick stretcher bars/gallery wrap canvas, framing is optional.  This is a great size canvas to hang above a sofa or fireplace.  Contact  Kay  for more information on this painting.  Thanks for looking at this blog.  Kay
