Stacked by Sheri Jones

Stacked by Sheri Jones 11 x 14 oil on canvas I was inspired to paint still lifes after seeing Beth Prichard do a demo at our local art meeting. It's so beneficial to see how someone approaches and executes a painting. I always learn something and its so inspiring. I bought the fruit to eat, but they made nice models for me. I brought the stacked bowls in for their bright rich colors. This painting is available for purchase.$150.00 Sheri@sheriart.net sheriart.net sheriart.blogspot.com

Jwood's Ratrod by Sheri Jones

JWood's Ratrod by Sheri Jones 11 x 12 oil on Raymar canvas panel This was created from a photo I took of my nephew's 28 Ford Ratrod. My husband went out for a ride in this rough, barely legal car. I thought they were heading to the right location, as they drove off towards the church. I liked the contrast of this small country church and this backroads car. Fincher's White Front by Sheri Jones

Fincher's White Front by Sheri Jones 7 x 5 oil on canvas I met a group of plein air painters today in the Historic Ft. Worth Stockyards. This building is home of Fincher's White Front Western Wear and has been in existence since 1907. The original name was White Front Western Wear. The Fincher family bought it in 1967 and has had the doors opened since. The location turned into a wealth of inspiration and I would love to return soon. There were beautiful buildings, horses, cows, longhorns, goats and lots of cowboys everywhere. This is where the west begins! YeHaw. Sheri@sheriart.net sheriart.net sheriart.blogspot.com
