Artists Of Texas Contemporary Paintings and Art

Here is another small painting of roses. These China roses I painted are from my yard. I purchased this plant from the Antique Rose Emporium in Brenham, Texas several years ago. At the time they had a plethora of plants. I haven't been there for some time. I wonder how they faring during this Texas drought. This particular rose is not a very good cut flower as the petals start to fall off a day after cutting. Boy, this forces you to get the subject down quick! The good thing about antique roses is, they are low maintenance and not as prone to insects and disease. This floral painting is an 8x10 oil on canvas panel. The price is $200.00. Thank you for viewing my art. © Ann Hoffpauir http://www.ArtworkbyAnn.com
