"Spring's Glory" oil painting by Texas Artist Niki Gulley

" Spring’s Glory,"  Texas Hill Country  ©2018 Niki Gulley  SOLD •  36” x 60” textured oil painting on gallery wrap canvas Just Sold!  “Spring’s Glory” was inspired by a trip to the Texas Hill Country. The spring conditions were perfect, and the bluebonnets were amazing! While we were near Fredericksburg, we took a scenic drive along the Willow City Look and as we approached the top of a hill about half way around, we were greeted by this gorgeous view of the rolling hills and bluebonnets in full bloom. Then, to top it off the sun was setting in the distance casting its golden glow and backlighting the wildflowers. I had to capture the magical moment, enhancing the kaleidoscope of colors in the sky and along the ground. Arranging clouds, the road and rows of bluebonnets in rhythmic sweeping shapes to create a harmonious landscape that flows with light, texture and color, and suggest a feeling of optimism about what’s to come. Texas Bluebonnet Painting by Contemporary Impressionist Niki Gulley

SOLD • "Blue Descent," Texas Hill Country  ©2014 Niki Gulley 24" x 36" textured oil painting JUST SOLD!  Inspired by a trip to the Texas hill country, I wanted you to feel the warmth and beauty as sun sets over this carpet of bluebonnets and Texas wildflowers. Touched with a hint of mystery from the long shadows being cast and a sense of romanticism from the time of day and the two oaks reaching for one another, this piece is loaded with pigment and thick oil paint. In person, the painting leaps off the canvas and the colors almost dance from all of the texture and energy! To see more of my palette knife contemporary landscape paintings, visit  nikigulley.com . Golden Moments 2

Oh beautiful golden afternoons. I posted this painting earlier and was never satisfied. I modified the sky and ground and feel a happier with it. I am hopefully back painting after many events of which I had no control that happen to us all and mu computer failure to upload! See my website at www.emilyleland.com
Beautiful Morning Emily Leland Oil on board 18X24 It is a beautiful morning in the Texas Hill Country, a balmy 68 degrees on August 2, 2010--Hard to believe. Some days I like to paint life as it is but there are moments I am urged to add more color. Is it my mood or the scene? I am driving to West Texas to Midland this morning. The flat land may need more color there don't you think? Beginning the drive after Beautiful Morning is a good start. This painting is found on my website also. Visit my website www.emilyleland.com

Fiesta Arts Fair - San Antonio - this weekend

"Hill Country Retreat" by Niki Gulley 24" x 36" pastel This year the bluebonnets were amazing thanks to ideal conditions – just the right amount of rain, sun and temperatures – to produce a solid sea of blue. This patch must have stood out to passersby since there was actually a path carved out down to dirt through the bluebonnets from so many families having chosen it for their photo opportunities. I liked how the trail led you through the Texas wildflowers to the beautiful hill country retreat in the background. I chose this vantage point so that you could feel like you were standing right in the middle of the bluebonnets and Indian paintbrush. To see this painting inn person, visit my booth at the Fiesta Arts Fair in San Antoni o this weekend ( swschool.org/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=64 ) or e-mail me at Niki@NikiGulley.com for more information.
