Artists Of Texas Contemporary Paintings and Art

"Shaggy" by Carol Peterson 7" x 5" acrylic on board $80   This is a painting of a friend's dog.  The dog is an English bulldog and it is rare when you can see his eyes.  I got lucky with this photo.  The painting is on a background of bright orange which gives the painting a glow even through the layers of fur.

"Wolf II" by Carol Peterson (carolpeterson@suddenlink.net) 10" x 8" acrylic $150 This is another animal portrait on an orange underpainting.  I love to paint on the bright acrylic pyrrole orange and in particular, I love to paint animals.  Wolves are a favorite subject of mine.  I have seen several wolves in the wild on the North Shore of Lake Superior.

"Bulldog" by Carol Peterson (carolpeterson@suddenlink.net) 5" x 7" acrylic $100 This painting is done on an orange underpainting which can be seen throughout the painting.  I decided to leave the orange within the dog's face with many lost edges.  In this painting I found that "less is more"
