GRAPES DURAND by Debbie Cannatella 26"x20" (unfr) transparent watercolor http://www.cannatella.net/ http://www.dcannatella.blogspot.com/ Fellow DPOT artist, Mollie Jones, loaned me this wonderful Durand crystal bowl and I had our local art group over my house for a meeting where I did a presentation on still setups focused on elements and principles of design. Then the group used several locations at my house to set up their own still life references and photographed various glass pieces I had, along with veggies and fruit, fabrics, etc. that I gathered for the event. It was loads of fun. This is a setup that I painted from that photography shoot with the crystal bowl and a Venitian glass vase.
