Artists Of Texas Contemporary Paintings and Art

This 5x7 oil painting was done from my imagination and a photo of a mountain range. I love to manipulate color in my paintings to suit the outcome that I want to express. I used a pallette knife too. Hope you enjoy this pink sky !

I was dangerously driving and snapping the picture one morning driving down Congress as I wanted to catch this picture!  Then then painted it with a brush, but didnt like the effect , so I took the pallette knife to it with losts of paint and proceeded to get the finished effect. I have had so many positive comments on this painting!!  Oil on board, needs no frame.   $550.
