I've shared a few of the amazing flowers of Coronado, California, an island just off the coast of San Diego on my art blog today , including the pale purple roses of the cottage gardens there. You can still find traces of an older time here, before the city encroached, and the older homes that are lovingly preserved and surrounded by beds of flowers of every variety.
