Artists Of Texas Contemporary Paintings and Art

Iris Garden in Bloom 20x24 I get excited with I see iris flowers in bloom.  Their delicate colors and petals remind me of my Mother- in-law. She had a large garden of iris of every color.  They lined her front yard and were beautiful.  My inspiration for this was from painting at the Ft. Worth Botanical Gardens in the spring time. Color Ranch Road 9x12 oil on canvas I was lucky to paint at High Hope Ranch recently. The tall grasses and fading gay feather flowers were fun to paint.  The mix of warm and cool colors are what attracted me to this scene.  This is available for purchase. Waterfall at Chandor Gardens 14x7 oil on canvas I painted with a group of artist at Chandor Gardens in Weatherford.  Painting outside in July in Texas is a challenge.  Between the bugs and heat I raced to capture this waterfall . I was happy with the abstract result I achieved by working fast. This is available for purchase. Thank you for viewing my art. Wild Apricot in Bloom 12x9 oil on canvas I found this wild apricot tree when painting a landscape on location. This was my second one of the day and  a delight to paint.  I had to park the easel close to the road, but fortunately there wasn't much traffic. Plein painting can be a dangerous sport.  This is available for purchase. Email if interested Sheri@sheriart.net http://www.sheriart.blogspot.com http://www.sheriart.net Sheri Jones
