" Flamingo Flare" is a small original oil painting on an 8" x 8" x 0.5" wrapped canvas-all sides are painted, making it easy to hang without a frame, or simply add your favorite frame. I painted this bathing beauty from photos I took at Galveston , Texas ’ Moody Gardens . A flamingo's vibrant colors vary, as they depend upon the nutrients from seafood, like shrimp, which is high in beta-carotene, or algae, keeping their plumage a pretty pink-orange. This one seemed be be getting her fill of goodies, as she was popping with color! Thank you for looking. For more information or purchasing, please contact me at sandrasart777@aol.com.   "The Pink Tango" is an original oil painting on a  22" x 28" x 0.50" stretched canvas. These two Roseate Spoonbills make their home around the gulf area of southeast Texas. Far off, these birds are sometimes mistaken for pink flamingos. I love their colorful heads and pink, fluffy plumage. The paint seemed to flow on the canvas when I worked this piece. I don't think the photo does this painting justice at all-so much more vibrant in person. Don't they look to be dancing the Tango?  Thanks for viewing my work and reading my blog.
