King of Pecos 62 x 36 En caustic / cigarette boxes on wood This is an en caustic painting with found Virginia Slim cigarette boxes, loosely based on the White Horned dancer that is specific to the Jornada Mogollon civilization, found at Hueco Tanks State Park. It is framed by en caustic coated pencils protruding the edges. Horns are a popular indication of hunting symbolism. I incorporate the found objects to combine our ancestral heritage, with what modern society leaves behind for it's descendants.
