Julie Miller's Car 8x10 oil on canvas Sold This was a commissioned painting and was a birthday gift for Julie Miller. She visited her sister in South Dakota running the streets in a little red VW. A baby boy was born during this time. He is the one that later named the car the "Julie Miller car"   It was a memorable visit for this sweet family and this painting takes them back to that time. Sunset at Mountain Lakes by Sheri Jones 16x20 oil on canvas This was a painting I created as a demonstration for the Ellis County Art Association in Waxahachie. This was the same day as a hugh chemical fire. There were warnings they were evacutating the area and closing the freeway into town. I'm glad I ignored all the warnings and went down anyway. Most of the drama was generated by the news media and as it turned out the air was safe and the freeways were open. We had a pretty good group despite all the drama of the day. This painting is available for purchase. $250.00 Sheri@sheriart.net http://www.sheriart.net/ http://www.sheriart.blogspot.com/

52 GMC Truck by Sheri Jones 20x24 Oil on canvas This big red truck was sitting on the side of Hwy 281 south of Hamilton along with several other old trucks. They stopped me in my tracks and I made a quick u-turn to get some pictures. I love these old trucks and get excited when I see one. They bring back memories of the past for so many people and are a treat to paint. This painting is available for purchase. $500. Old Blue 55 Ford 14x11 oil on canvas This old truck is parked at a house in my neighborhood. For years it had a tarp on in, protecting in from the elements. The tarp faded away and this beauty appeared. I'm glad he hasn't covered again and will let it breath for a while. It made a great model and was lots of fun to paint. This is availalbe for purchase. $175.00 Sheri@sheriart.net http://www.sheriart.net/ http://www.sheriart.blogspot.com/

11 O Clock Shadow by Sheri Jones 8x10 oil on canvas I painted this in Glen Rose on Saturday. This was the third field study I did from this location. I got there early enough to benefit from the morning sun rising. It was a great day painting with my friends, Doug Clark, Joyce Thomas, Sabine Higgins, Olivette Hubler and Maryann Brummer. This painting is available for purchase. $100.00 Sheri@sheriart.net http://www.sheriart.net/ http://www.sheri.blogspot.com/

Ranch on Farm Rd 312 By Sheri Jones I painted this in Glen Rose on Monday morning. I met Doug Clark, Olivette Hubler, Joyce Thomas, Sabine Higgins, and Maryann Brummer early in the morning. The temperatures were in the 60's and it felt wonderful. Afterwards they all followed me home for a well deserved lunch. I was amazed that they all were willing to get up so early, be on site ready to paint. It was a fun day with my painting pals. This is available for purchase. $125.00 Sheri@sheriart.net http://www.sheriart.net/ http://www.sheriart.blogspot.com/

Shades of Fall by Sheri Jones 10 x 8 oil on canvas This was painted at Big Rock Park in Glen Rose, Texas. The drought is stressing the trees out and they are giving the appearance of fall. The morning sun was rising and cast a beautiful glow on the trees and dying bushes. There are plans for members of the Outdoor Painting Society to paint in Glen Rose September 16, 17. There are plenty of inspiration in this small town. I hope to see you there. This is available for purchase. $100.00 Sheri@sheriart.net http://www.sheriart.blogspot.com/ http://www.sheriart.net/

Wildflower Bouquet by Sheri Jones 20x16 oil on canvas This was inspired from a small still life I painted outside in my yard. The flowers I picked in a field not far from home. The bright color of the indian paint brush flowers are what I love most about this painting. This is available for purchase. $250.00 Sheri@sheriart.net http://www.sheriart.net/ http://www.sheriart.blogspot.com/

Summer Lotus by Sheri Jones 10x8 oil on canvas I painted this at the Dallas Aboretum on Saturday. It was growing in the same garden as the waterlily I painted earlier in the morning. A common misconception is referring to the lotus as a waterlily but it is an entirely different plant as can be seen from the center of the flower which is a round seed pod. The warm temperatures and moving light forced me to work quickly and this was my result. I painted this with a palette knife and lots of colorful paint. This is available for purchase. $100.00 Sheri@sheriart.net http://www.sheriart.net/ http://www.sheriart.blogspot.com/

Maryann's Bike by Sheri Jones 16x20 oil on canvas We had an artist gathering at Maryann Brummer's property. She and her husband had a number of props out for us to paint and this was one of them. This was inspired from a photo I took that day. It's a nice reminder of a great day with good friends. This is available for purchase. $250.00 Sheri@sheriart.net http://www.sheriart.net/ http://www.sheriart.blogspot.com/
