"Night Glider" a barn owl. This is an original oil painting on canvas by Texas Wildlife Artist Sandra Reeves Cutrer. Look at those expressive deep pools, dark eyes that are forward-facing, an adaptation that gives them binocular vision. Like all owls, they are unable to move their eyes within their eye sockets and must instead rotate their head to direct their focus on different locations. With their heart-shaped white face, who can not fall in love with these beautiful birds.Painting the feathers to show their soft fluffy growth was rewarding work. I really enjoyed working on Night Glider! Thanks for reading my blog and looking at my work.
