Hay Bales in Plein Aire 9x12 Oil on Linen Canvas This month, I started a great adventure with some artist friends...plein aire painting. We were invited to paint at a beautiful ranch.  I spent about an hour painting plein air on these hay bales. The rest of the time I enjoyed exploring the ranch and taking many photos.   I finished the study of hay bales in the studio.  I am looking forward to painting out with the group once a month.  Hopefully I will be inspired to spend more time outdoors.
