8 X 10 OIL ON LINEN PAT@MEYER.NET Many people voted for what flower they wanted to see in the New Year and a white rose with pink petals was a top contender.  So here she is making her first appearance as a Beauty Queen.  She feels that she has shown up her yellow rose friend and daisy buddy to be the star of the show.  Painting things beautifully is one of my goals for the new year.   Signature Member Artist of Texas, Oil Painters of America and Outdoor Painters Society www.PatMeyer-artist.com

7 X 5 OIL ON LINEN PAT@MEYER.NET  $95 This crazy rose just looks like she partied all night on New Years Eve and now became today's model in the studio.  She is surrounded by her friends that are just a little more tame.  Sound like anyone you know?   Girls just want to have some fun.  Maybe that is your Resolution for 2014.  Mine is to paint things beautifully. One Pink Rose and a Ginger Jar 9" x 12" oil on linen I just returned home from attending a workshop with Quiang Huang. He is a fantastic painter and teacher. His workshop was fun and he did several demos. I picked up so much just from observing his technique, use of color and attention to value and temperature. The more I learn about color, composition and value, the more I see how the infinite ideas and possibilities will take more than a lifetime for me to explore. Here is a piece I painted this afternoon. I love to share my art and inspiration. Click  HERE  to sign up for my email newsletter and receive a free gift of postcards. Follow me on Facebook.
