Tasmanian Tiger (Unfinished)

Almost finished with another in the Forgotten Dreams Series. I recently saw a film with this extinct animal as an integral part of the film. One can find footage of the last of the "tigers" from the 1930's. They were not tigers at all. More closely related to Tasmanian Devils, they look more like a dog with a giant mouth, striped, a tail like a kangaroo and a marsupial to boot.

I am gravitating toward abstracts of late. This piece is done on a 3" thick canvas with the borders painted black. Very contemporary.

On my easel 36x48 Mark W. Malone

This painting sprang from my head. Proportion be damned. I like it. My original intention was to place 3 very tall Aspen trunks over the small ones(if they ever dry). Now I do not know.

Mark W. Malone FINISHED...Aspen Cathedral 48x72 Oil on Canvas

Totally finished,(I promise). A work of pure joy on my part. I honestly feel as if I had little to do with it. It was like a song that just came out of me. Ugh, that sounds corny. I intend for this to be the first of a series of aspens. For more information contact me via www.mwmalonefineart.com. Thank you.
