Exciting Day

Exciting Day Galveston Island, Texas 8 x 8 Oil on Panel Randall Cogburn Click to Purchase on  eBay Auction What's your earliest child hood memories at the beach? The one that I recall was riding around in my dad's sand rail he built. From what I've learned it was one of two of the first one's built in Texas. That was fun riding around in it.

The Music Man by Joan Eure Fine Art

"The Music Man" 16H x 12W Pastel on Kitty Wallis Paper This painting can be yours for only $195.00 (includes mat and frame).  This gentleman was a very good model.  He plays in a band on Saturday nights, and even played several tunes for us.  Painting from a live model is wonderful.  It is a challenge, because no matter how still you think you are, your chin tilts or the heads shifts at times.  When I paint people from a snapshot, you can turn your photo upside down to find your mistakes.  Can't do that with your model.  Your really get the true colors and get to know them which always helps to bring out their personality. Sounds of Paris by Sandra Reeves Cutrer

Sounds of Paris   Painted in oils on a 9”x 12” stretched canvas. I drew this one out just like it was in the photograph taken from my trip to Paris , France . It was one of those unforgettable days, just enjoying an outdoor café when these street musicians pulled up a few crates, took out their instruments, threw down a guitar case for tips, and began to play French music. Part of my heart will always be in Paris ! Thanks for looking at my work. Sand and Sea Horses by Sandra Reeves Cutrer, a Texas artist

Sand and Sea Horses is painted in oils on an 11" x 14" stretched canvas. Living in southeast Texas, we are about a 10 minute drive away from our local beach. I love to go walking on it, and on the half mile long jetty, especially in the evenings. Sometimes my husband and I will eat at one of the local restaurants located right on the beach, where the seagulls land on the wood railings, begging for a handout. It's really fun to just stand on the deck and watch the people;sometimes we are blessed to see a few dolphins, or horses with riders such as in this scene I've created. Many times we just stand and watch the sun go down for the evening, enjoying the peaceful sounds of the waves splashing the sand. Thanks for looking at my work, and reading my blog! Mid-day on Main

15x22 watercolor by  Liana Yarckin blog website facebook I am thrilled with how this painting came out.  I have been hanging on to this photo for several years waiting to get the courage to paint it.  I wanted to capture the essence of this busy main street.  People walking, lunching, driving, waiting for the bus.  I love to be in a crowd like this.  The feel warms me up.  All of my paintings are for sell, however, I am not sure I am ready to part with this one. Let me know what you like to see in a painting.

Beach Walk and Ferry - Thaw Malin iii

"Beach Walk and Ferry" , this is a Small painting, 6"x 8", oil on canvas panel. Another good place in bad weather or inclement health to stay in the van and paint from. Anything could sail, motor or, in this case, walk by to make it so much more interesting. That's the beauty of being out on location. I may make my plans for what I am going to paint, but the universe may step in at any moment and one up me!... If you'd like to purchase, please click Go to my Auction, bidding starts at $100.00 US.
